Vault 146

Vault146 is a restaurant and wine bar based in the historic Bank of NSW building in Windsor. Vault 146 branding was based on the designs of currency and financial documents from the early days of Sydney.

Feature wall graphics were produced for the winebar area; the theme was the bush-ranger Frederick War AKA Captain Thunderbolt, who was born near Windsor. Continuing with the currency theme we designed a feature graphic with Thunderbolts face styled as if it belonged on a bank note with imagery and quotes about his life as a bushranger completing the look. A map of New South Wales tells the story of his interesting life.

Matter Design produced and installed the graphics using white gloss paint stencilled on to chalkboard black walls.
